About Chris & Julie

Hi! We are Chris & Julie Shirk and we are so happy that you are here!

Our journey began like many of you, camping with our family when we were young. In 1998 we began to pass that love on to our children, tent camping in Wisconsin with three kids that grew to six. Our setup encompassed a BIG tent for sleeping, a BIG kitchen tent and other screen tents for games and story telling!

In 2008 we moved to Tennessee. We're not sure why anyone would want to tent camp during a Tennessee summer, so with inspiration from our full time RVing parents, we bought our first travel trailer in 2009. We absolutely loved our bunk house trailer, especially the 2 port doors at the rear for loading kids and gear. We pulled our trailer all over, covering the Rocky Mountains to the Gulf Coast. In 2012 we put our house on the market and lived full time in our trailer for 2 years. We made memories that still make us smile and laugh when we bring them up at family gatherings. Since then we have purchased other trailers and now travel with a 5th wheel, making new memories with new people.

We truly love the outdoors and traveling! We love the community that we get to be a part of at each campground, Harvest Host or Boondockers Welcome we stay at. Our desire is to utilize the skills, abilities and passions that God has put into us to help others in the RV community to confidently enter into their next adventure.

We are blessed to be able to retire early and start this new journey. We've learned that we make a great team and between us, we have electrical, accounting, software and troubleshooting skills. We've also seen the trend in the RV community where people are jumping in for the first time having never camped before! We love to see our community grow, and know that we are in the perfect position to help make a positive difference.

We have experienced many types of camping, including days with full hookups as well as time unhooked from the everything, boondocking. We appreciate how technology works with us to make these transitions easier and more affordable. We are passionate about renewable energy. Check out our SOLAR page if you haven't already!

All of this starts off however with a GOOD PURCHASE. We wish we had the tools and knowledge to check our purchases prior to taking possession of our RV's. NOW we can, and we can do it for you as well!
